Feb. 12, 1943-March 10, 2022

Our beautiful, sweet, and sassy Irene Sorenson Naber, 79, of St George, Diamond Valley, took the next step of her eternal journey on March 10, 2022.

She was born in Salt Lake City on Feb 12, 1943, and lived most of her life in Southern California

Irene was beautiful, light, and left sunshine and joy everywhere she went. Easily recognized in her bright yellow Nash, she was an incredible mother, grandmother, sister, wife and friend. She was also an excellent dental hygienist for over 53 years and was loved and requested by patients she cared about and came to know and love. She held many callings in her church and genuinely loved those she served. She created beauty, hope and laughter as she enjoyed her journey.

She was incredible at creating moments to share with those she loved. Whether it was finding just the right cabin for unforgettable family memories, attending sporting events, or enjoying a movie with extra buttery popcorn, she lived life to the fullest.

She was the beautiful book lady lounging at the beach, taking time to appreciate and soak in the magic around her. Irene always knew how to be her best inside and out. She spent time finding just the right recipe, knick-knack or conversation to bring others joy.

She is survived by her husband Daryl, her sister Pat and her children John/Laura, Ryan/Jamie, Lynette/Mike, Robert/Kim, Chad, and her 19 adoring grandchildren: Sabrina, Dominique, Veronica, Bryndie/Seth, Nicholas, Chase, Lexie, Bryson, Ellie, Anthony, Samantha, Morgan, Lauren, Bailey, McKenna, Delaney, Carson and Cameron.

She figured it out. She loved her people, the moments and the memories. She lived life well and brought joy, hope, and excitement to those around her.

Irene was the best cheerleader and believed deeply in the people in her life and will no doubt continue cheering and believing in us on the other side. She saw the best in the world and in others. She will be immensely missed and forever loved and cherished.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 26 at 1 p.m. at the Diamond Valley Stake Center, 1784 Diamond Valley Drive, St. Georg. A viewing will be held prior to funeral service 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the same location. Interment will follow at the Ivins City Cemetery.

Family and Friends are invited to share tributes online. Arrangements and memorial tree planting by Serenity Funeral Home of Southern Utah, 435-986-9100.
