Tammy Jean Graf, 63, passed away on April 12, 2022, in Cedar City, Utah. She was born on July 5, 1958, in San Pablo, Califonia, to Norma Jean and Ralph Glenn Barr. She married and was sealed to Robert Graf in Las Vegas, Nevada, on March 30, 2002.
Tammy’s favorite moments were always spending time with her family. Her devotion to her children and grandchildren was absolute. She dedicated her life to loving and teaching her children. She could brighten anyone’s day with her smile. She was not afraid to get down on the floor and play GI Joes or roll in the sandbox with her kids and grandkids. She reminded her children and grandchildren that ordinary things could become magical with their imaginations. She spent hours and hours making gifts for her family and friends.
Tammy grew up mostly in Las Vegas but bounced around the country throughout her childhood. She graduated high school in Las Vegas and pursued a college education at Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. She was an avid crafter and stitcher at heart, working constantly on scrapbooks, quilts and later using a loom to create weavings. She loved hiking, spending beautiful days swinging in her hammock and spending time with her dog Daisy. She also enjoyed raising chickens, ducks and turkeys. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings in the church over her lifetime.
She is survived by her husband Robert Graf; her siblings Jerri Ann Holdaway, Teri Lyn Whitbeck, Patricia Phillips, Debbie Barr, Carol Barr Thornton and her brothers Robert Barr (Bethany) and John Jones (Coleen). She is also survived by her first husband Dennis Hodges and her children Ryan Hodges (Christy), Nathan Hodges (Erin) and Sean Hodges. She also is survived by Robert’s children Carla Unger (Chris), Jason Graf (Jessica), Tyler Graf and Brian Graf. Jesse Bennett (Alana), Benjamin Bennet (Rene), Michael Bennet, Heidi Checketts (Jared). She is survived by her grandchildren Madisen Hodges, Avery Hodges, Emily Hodges, Dillon Riddle, Nicholas Postlewait, Scout Unger, Lucas Graf, Jenna Graf, Sarah Graf, Norah Graf, CJ Bennett, Dee Bennett, Joshua Bennett, Elisabeth Bennett, Peter Bennett, Jesse Bennett, Lydia Bennett, Gideon Bennett, Samuel Bennett, Alek Bennett, Felix Bennett, Thaddeaus Bennett, Naomi Bennett, Jackson Checketts and Rylee Checketts.
She is preceded by her parents, her grandparents, her brother David Russell Bolton and her grandson Ethan Hodges.
The family would like to thank Serenity Funeral Services in St. George, Boomer’s Bloomers in Cedar City, the Cedar City Cemetery, Intermountain Healthcare Hospitals in Cedar City and St. George and all the doctors and nurses who cared for her, Kyle Randall, NP, her ward family in the Kolob Canyon Ward, Matt Howard and all of the family and friends of Tammy. She loved each of you.
Services will be held at the Kolob Canyon Ward in Kanarraville, Utah, on Saturday, April 16, with a viewing beginning at 10 a.m. and the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. Due to the holiday weekend, Tammy will not be interred until Monday at the Cedar City Cemetery. The address is 80 S. Main St., Kanarraville.
